What should I share?
Your subject, desired size, purpose, timing, location, budget range, and any photos or references that explain the story. For portraits or place-based work, clear images from multiple viewpoints are useful.
How long does it take?
Timing depends on complexity, scale, materials, research, approvals, installation needs, and the current studio schedule. A realistic timeline and review process are established before work begins.
How are price and payment determined?
A proposal can account for concept development, artistic labor, materials, scale, engineering, presentation, travel, shipping, installation, documentation, and other project-specific needs. Payment schedule and scope are confirmed before fabrication.
Can institutions commission work?
Yes. Lonnetrix welcomes museum, university, corporate, hospitality, nonprofit, civic, and public-art conversations. Site conditions, ownership, maintenance, installation, recognition, and documentation should be defined in writing.
Can a commission include community participation?
Yes, when appropriate. Participants may contribute ideas, stories, patterns, or supervised components while Lonnie retains artistic direction, structural responsibility, finishing, and quality control.
What happens after completion?
Presentation, pickup, delivery, shipping, installation, care information, and photography are planned according to the work. Exact responsibilities and costs are documented in the commission agreement.
