The mission

Meet people
where they are.

Founded in 2018, Lonnetrix Inc. is a Baltimore-based 501(c)(3) making original fine wire art and artist-led learning accessible.

Programs travel into classrooms, community centers, homes, festivals, arenas, and public spaces—removing barriers and making creative learning feel welcoming, useful, and joyful.

Mission, vision & charitable purpose

Working mission: Lonnetrix Inc. uses creativity, craftsmanship, and community participation to help people imagine—and build—possibilities they may not have believed were within reach.

Vision: Artistic excellence should not be reserved for people with wealth, specialized training, or proximity to major cultural institutions. Children and adults should be able to learn directly from accomplished artists and see their ideas as culturally valuable.

How the mission moves

Access made
active.

Lonnetrix Inc. combines free instruction, materials, encouragement, and community-centered delivery so participants can make, learn, and leave with something they created.

01

On the Move

Mobile programming brings wire-art instruction directly to schools, community spaces, festivals, and public gatherings.

02

The Impossible Possibilities of Wire

A signature experience that turns a simple material into a lesson in creativity, structure, patience, and imagination.

03

Art Enrichment

Deeper learning experiences help participants build technical confidence and develop their own artistic decisions.

04

Home Studio Program

Small-group sessions create space for focused guidance, individual pacing, and pride in completion.

How impact is built

Access, agency
and connection.

The charitable model centers artistic quality and removes practical barriers so participants can encounter art as makers, not spectators alone.

Access

Programs travel to familiar community settings, provide materials, and prioritize free or low-cost participation.

Artistic agency

Participants make choices, solve structural problems, revise ideas, and complete work that carries their own voice.

Community voice

Hosts and participants can inform themes, formats, accessibility, and shared artwork without surrendering artistic quality.

Responsible learning

Participation, completion, concept learning, confidence, persistence, host feedback, and program quality guide improvement.

Equity and inclusion commitments

Lonnetrix reduces barriers of cost, location, materials, and assumptions about artistic talent. Instruction can be adapted for age, experience, mobility, sensory needs, communication style, and setting. Personally and culturally meaningful subject matter is welcomed, and responsible consent guides photographs and quotations.

What support can underwrite

Artist compensation, program assistance, materials, participant access, travel, community sculpture production, documentation, evaluation, outreach, insurance, and responsible administration all contribute to a complete program—not just the visible workshop hour.
